I'm almost never serious about anything. I don't remember who told me this or where i heard it from but it says, "Life is just too important to be taken seriously". I guess I've been taking that in as a mantra but some things are just too significant to be taken lightly.
I had a lot of free time today since i was given half of the day off after weeks of rushing some stuff out for work. So I headed to town to .. i guess to just be in town. It's been a while since the last time. As I was admiring the crowd there (and what a crowd it was.. HO HO HO), I came across a group of kids no older than 14, throwing rocks and sticks at a stray dog. This was somewhere behind Cineleisure. There were so many ppl around.. adults.. but they just walked by ignoring them.. I was guilty the first time around when I passed them. But when I came by there again, they were still at it. I stood there for awhile, watching them hoping they'd stop once they saw me looking. But they didn't. So I walked over.
"What the f*ck do you think you're doing?"
The kids were stunned for awhile and just looked at me till one of 'em replied,
"whatever the f*ck we want.."
I took a couple of steps closer..
"yeah? go ahead then.. do it again."
"what the hell do you care?"
"whatever the f*ck I want to care about.."
"f*ck off la!"
"try f*cking make me.."
By then a couple of passer-bys had caught on and stood around them. The little buggers got spooked..
"ah.. f*ck this.. let's go.. "
After the kids left, one of the other adults came up to me shaking his head. And as we watched the kids disappear around the corner, he asked..
"what the hell happened between us and their generation?"
For some strange reason, I replied..
"f*cking global warming, man.."
"..."
And so ends my Tarantino-esque moment. Do understand that I don't normally swear and curse but it felt like the right moment to break out of character.
On a side note, "Black Sheep" was one heck of dumb show. I would recommend everyone to NOT miss it :)
Goodnight!
